Arrival for the 6 days of Kilimanjaro hiking via the Marangu route
On this day, our driver will pick you up from the airport and take you to the hotel. While at the hotel, you will meet a tour guide who will give you a briefing about the 6-day Kilimanjaro hiking tour. Also, you will have space and time to prepare and set up your climbing equipment. So, later, you will rest to prepare for the 6-day Marangu route tour.
Day 1: Marangu gate to Mandara hut
This day is the beginning of the 6-day Kilimanjaro climbing tour, where our driver will take you to Marangu Gate. After registration at the gate, the journey will begin with your crew heading towards Mandara Hut. It is a journey of 8 kilometers to reach Mandara, where it takes 3 to 4 hours depending on the walking speed.
Day 2: Mandara hut to Horombo hut
The second day of your 6-day Marangu route tour starts in the morning in Mandara where after having breakfast, the journey will start towards Horombo Hut. So, from Mandara to Horombo, it is a distance of 12 kilometers and takes 5 to 7 hours depending on the pace the climber uses.
Day 3: Horombo hut full-day acclimatization
On this day you will be at the same altitude at Horombo to acclimatize. This is where you will walk for a while in the Horombo area to get used to the mountain climate. So, this is the special day for acclimatization on the 6-day Marangu route climbing tour.
Day 4: Horombo hut to Kibo hut
So, on the morning of this day, the trip to Kibo Hut starts from Horombo after having breakfast. Day 5: Kibo hut to Uhuru Peak to Horombo hut
This is the day to complete the goal of a 6-day Kilimanjaro climbing tour via the Marangu route. So, today you will start your journey at midnight toward the highest peak in Africa. This time is specifically to witness the sun rising from the top of Mount Kilimanjaro. It is a distance of at least 6 kilometers and takes 6 to 8 hours due to the steep slope.
Later, you will reach the peak, and it is time to rejoice and celebrate the completion of the 6-day Marangu route tour. Day 6: Horombo hut to Marangu gate to departure
